Learners and the community of Ward 10 in Mayeni have high hopes for a better future. The Leader of Government Business and MEC for Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs, Siboniso Duma, undertook a visit to key projects such as a Maphophoma Mill worth R19 million owned by a cooperative. It was funded by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. He also visited pedestrian bridges that are being constructed by the Department of Transport and the Department of Defence.
He remarked: "The entire cabinet is here in Hlalankosi as assigned by the provincial government to assess and accelerate service delivery. Our commitment remains that of ensuring job creation, economic development, and access to schools, clinics, and government facilities through transport networks."
