The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Rev. Musa Zondi, delivered the keynote address at the Youth Empowerment Business Breakfast held at De Volpe Wedding and Conference Centre in eMondlo, under the AbaQulusi Local Municipality.

The breakfast brought together young entrepreneurs, business leaders, government representatives and key stakeholders to facilitate meaningful dialogue on youth economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and access to opportunities.

Through this breakfast, the Department sought to bridge the gap between available economic opportunities and young people who often lack the information, networks and institutional support required to access them. “Young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the entrepreneurs, innovators and job creators driving the economy today,” said MEC Rev. Musa Zondi.

In his address, MEC Zondi urged young people from AbaQulusi and the wider Zululand District to recognise their potential and make use of the opportunities available to them. “I want to leave you with a simple message: do not underestimate your potential or the economic opportunities that exist within your communities. Be innovative. Be willing to learn. Build relationships and take advantage of the support available to you.
