The MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Rev. Musa Zondi, today officiated the graduation of 537 beneficiaries of the Real Estate Learnership Programme during a ceremony held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli ICC in Durban.
The flagship programme, implemented in partnership with Services Sector Education and Training Authority, Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority and Smile Property celebrates the successful completion of training by aspiring property practitioners who are now equipped with the skills and industry exposure needed to participate meaningfully in the real estate sector.
Today 537 young people recieved NQF Level 4 certificates as real estate practitioners in a celebration marking the completion of their 12 month training.
Addressing graduates and stakeholders, MEC Zondi highlighted the importance of building a more inclusive property market in KwaZulu-Natal, emphasising that programmes like these open doors for young professionals while stimulating economic growth and transformation within the province’s property industry.
The graduation marks another step towards empowering local talent and strengthening KwaZulu-Natal’s participation in South Africa’s dynamic real estate economy.
