Showcasing KZN’s Crown Jewel: The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park

Today, the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Rev. Musa Zondi led a dynamic media engagement at the iconic Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park, one of Africa’s oldest and most celebrated conservation areas. During the visit, the MEC engaged with leading media stakeholders from South African Broadcasting Corporation, 702 and East Coast Radio, highlighting why this world-renowned destination remains a must-visit for both international and domestic travellers.

The discussions focused on the park’s unparalleled wildlife experiences, rich conservation legacy, and its critical role in positioning KwaZulu-Natal as a premier global tourism destination. Having partnered with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, the engagement formed part of ongoing efforts by the department to strengthen media partnerships that amplify the province’s tourism offering while encouraging travellers to explore the natural beauty and biodiversity that define KwaZulu-Natal.

The media tour concluded at the park’s Nerve Centre, where stakeholders reflected on the importance of collaborative storytelling in driving tourism growth and showcasing the province’s iconic attractions to the world.
