A new chapter in KwaZulu-Natal’s investment and job-creation journey has opened today as Outworx officially launched its new office at Dube TradePort, strengthening the province’s growing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and global services sector. Delivering the keynote address, KZN MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Rev. Musa Zondi, welcomed the investment as an important contribution to expanding economic opportunities for young people and driving inclusive growth in the province.

“Today, we know that Outworx is expected to create approximately 1,800 jobs, with more than 300 young people already having entered employment through this project.” Outworx is a South African business process outsourcing and customer experience company that provides customer service, sales and related support services to international markets. Its expansion at Dube TradePort signals growing confidence in KwaZulu-Natal as a competitive destination for investment, while positioning the province to benefit from the rapidly expanding global BPO industry. With youth unemployment remaining one of the province’s most pressing socio-economic challenges, the anticipated 1,800 employment opportunities have the potential to provide thousands of young people with access to income, workplace experience, skills development and longer-term career opportunities.

The Outworx expansion therefore reinforces the province’s broader economic development agenda: attract investment, unlock opportunities, grow businesses and ensure that economic growth translates into meaningful livelihoods for the people of KwaZulu-Natal.
