MEC Musa Zondi's One-on-One Visits: A Step Towards Economic Harmony

Today, MEC for Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), Rev. Musa Zondi, embarked on another crucial visit as part of his series of one-on-one engagements with public entities. The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Growth Fund was the focus of this visit, marking an important step in MEC Zondi's broader strategy to foster closer collaboration between the department and its associated public entities.

These visits are integral to MEC Zondi's vision of creating a cohesive and coordinated approach within the EDTEA's operational framework. By meeting with each entity individually, MEC Zondi aims to build a deeper understanding of their unique challenges and contributions, ensuring that all parties are aligned with the department's goals.

During his remarks at the KZN Growth Fund, MEC Zondi emphasized the essential role that public entities play in the economic development of the province. He described these entities as the "hands and feet" of the department, underscoring their critical function in driving economic growth. According to MEC Zondi, "We need to work together to boost the provincial economy. By being hands-on, aligning our efforts, and speaking with one voice, we can create a strong economic team. Every entity plays a key role in this growth.."

MEC Zondi's approach highlights a commitment to ensuring that the EDTEA and its affiliated entities are not only working in harmony but also actively contributing to a unified economic strategy. This collaboration is intended to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's initiatives, ultimately fostering a more robust and resilient provincial economy.

By engaging directly with the KZN Growth Fund and other public entities, MEC Zondi is setting a precedent for open communication and cooperative problem-solving. These visits are expected to facilitate a more integrated and responsive approach to economic development, benefiting both the department and the broader community it serves.
