The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Rev. Musa Zondi visited the uMngeni Local Municipality as part of strengthening strategic relations.

This visit is part of many other visits the MEC has undertaken with the purpose of enhancing working relations between local government, the provincial government and the private sector.

The delegation received a high level briefing at the municipal offices, preceded by a Curry’s Post landfill site, Howick Falls site, Merrivale Industrial Park and Mpophomeni Stop visit.

Concluding the day’s activities the MEC received an in depth presentation on the tourism sector of uMngeni LM at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site.
