KZN Premier Hosts High-Level Investment Breakfast to Boost Provincial Economy

KwaZulu-Natal’s economic growth agenda took center stage this morning as Premier Hon. Thamsanqa Ntuli led a high-level Investment Business Breakfast in uMhlanga, Durban.

The strategic engagement, which was attended by MEC for Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs, Rev. Musa Zondi, brought together key industry players, investors, and government stakeholders to explore opportunities for economic acceleration.

The event follows the Premier’s State of the Province Address (SOPA) delivered on 28 February 2025, reinforcing the 7th administration’s commitment to creating an investor-friendly environment in KwaZulu-Natal. With a focus on sustainable development, Premier Ntuli outlined key economic priorities, investment opportunities, and collaborative initiatives designed to revitalize the province’s economy.

A major highlight of the breakfast was the commitment from business entities across various sectors, pledging significant investments worth millions of rands. These financial commitments will drive job creation, infrastructure development, and industrial expansion, aligning with the government’s vision for an inclusive and thriving economy.

MEC Zondi, in his address, emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships in unlocking economic potential. “KwaZulu-Natal is open for business, and through strategic collaboration, we can build a resilient economy that benefits all our people,” he stated.

The Investment Business Breakfast marks a pivotal step in positioning KwaZulu-Natal as a competitive economic hub, signaling confidence from both government and private sector players in the province’s growth trajectory.
