KZN INVESTMENT CONFERENCE 2025

The KwaZulu-Natal Investment Conference 2025 is officially underway at the Durban ICC, bringing together investors, captains of industry, government leaders, and development partners under the theme “Building a Resilient, Inclusive and Globally Competitive KwaZulu-Natal.” The conference, led by KwaZulu-Natal Premier Mr. Thamsanqa Ntuli, features strategic discussions aimed at unlocking investment opportunities, boosting industrial growth, and positioning KZN as a premier investment destination in Africa.

In his keynote address, the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Rev. Musa Zondi, reaffirmed the province’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment that drives inclusive economic growth. Reflecting on last year’s conference, MEC Zondi highlighted that 17 companies pledged R85.2 billion in investments, creating over 82 000 job opportunities across key sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, renewable energy, and tourism. Impressively, a quarter of these projects are already operational, with others under construction — clear evidence of growing investor confidence in KZN.

MEC Zondi emphasised that the province’s focus remains on removing red tape, fast-tracking project implementation, and building trust with investors through ethical and transparent governance. He also pointed to KZN’s positive economic growth trajectory, strengthened by new foreign direct investments and the upcoming G20 Summit, which will further showcase the province’s global competitiveness.

“As KwaZulu-Natal, we are not just inviting investment we are building partnerships rooted in trust, delivery, and shared prosperity,” said MEC Zondi. “Together, we can create a province where opportunity is abundant, innovation thrives, and growth benefits all.”
