The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Rev Musa Zondi, delivered the keynote address at the KZN EDTEA Long Service Awards - a prestigious ceremony dedicated to honouring, recognising, and acknowledging retirees and public servants who have faithfully served 20, 30, and 40 years in government. This year, more than 80 former and current public servants were celebrated for their unwavering commitment and dedication.
“These are the values that keep government steady even in times of change. Your service reminds us that true transformation rests not on fleeting efforts, but on the stable foundation laid by committed public servants like you,” said MEC Zondi.
MEC Zondi went on to affirm that public servants must continue to “sustain progress and inspire confidence in the communities we serve. Every milestone: 20, 30, and even 40 years - tells a story of perseverance, discipline, and devotion to duty.”
