KZN BUSINESS COMPLIANCE INDABA 2026

Business compliance and regulatory requirements took centre stage today, 02 November 2026, as the KZN Business Compliance Indaba 2026 got under way at the Greyville Convention Centre in eThekwini.

The two-day engagement is hosted by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (KZN EDTEA) under the theme “Strengthening Partnerships, Innovation and Compliance for Sustainable Inclusive Growth.”

The Indaba brings together key stakeholders to strengthen regulatory compliance among businesses, promote innovation and build strategic partnerships that drive sustainable, inclusive economic growth in the province.

In his keynote address, the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Rev. Musa Zondi, highlighted the critical role of regulatory compliance in creating an enabling business environment that inspires investor confidence, promotes fair competition and strengthens public trust.

“As Government, we recognise that compliance is not merely a regulatory requirement; it is the foundation upon which sustainable economic growth, fair competition, investor confidence and public trust are built,” said MEC Zondi. The Indaba is a critical platform for stakeholder engagement, knowledge-sharing and collaboration to strengthen regulatory governance and advance KwaZulu-Natal’s economic development agenda.
