eShowe, 10 September 2025 – The Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), in partnership with the Ithala Development Finance Corporation, today launched a two-day Business Masterclass at the eShowe Town Hall under the King Cetshwayo District Municipality. The initiative is designed to empower youth, women, and people with Disabilities by providing them with critical entrepreneurial skills and access to funding opportunities.
The programme focuses on equipping participants with practical knowledge in key areas of business development, including budgeting, customer care, strategic planning, marketing, and business pitching. By offering this comprehensive training, EDTEA and Ithala aim to foster inclusive economic participation and sustainable business growth.
Day one of the Masterclass placed a strong emphasis on access to finance, coupled with expert-led sessions on the art of pitching and strategies for building successful enterprises. Participants were guided on how to confidently present their business ideas, attract investment, and position their ventures for long-term success.
