Today, 10 October 2024 the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Rev. Musa Zondi addressed the community members at KwaSanti in Pinetown.
The MEC sensitized the importance of ensuring that food products that the community buy are safe for consumption by checking for contaminants and harmful substances, to assess the quality of food products to meet established standards, including freshness, taste, and nutritional value. Prioritizing quality in food choices can lead to better health, and sustainability.
MEC Rev. Musa Zondi led the consumer inspection at Pinetown Boxer Superstore with the aim to ensure the safety, quality, and compliance of products and services. These inspections help protect consumers from harmful or substandard goods, promote fair trade practices, and enhance consumer confidence.
