The Environmental Management unit mandate is to capacitate General Public on the protection of natural resources. Today the Department embarked on capacitating Traditional health practitioners (THPs) on better and best ways to harvest their natural herbs and medicines in a sustainable manner., thus developing community based natural resources management. Emphasizing the importance of living in harmony with nature while following their callings in order to achieve sustainability. And also to give understanding of climate change as a concern to develop adaptive measures as they engage with nature.
