World Business Angels Forum 2022

World Business Angels Forum (WBAF) in full swing in Antalya, Turkey and KwaZulu-Natal is well represented, under the leadership of the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism & Environmental Affairs, Mr. Siboniso Duma

The conference is also being attended by global luminaries such as the former UN Secretary General, Ban Kin-Moon, the President of the Republic of Kosovo H.E. Vjosa Osmani, the President of Croatia, H.E. Zoran Milanovic, the Governor of Antalya, H.E. Ersin Yazici and an array of Ministers from other countries who will all share the stage with MEC Duma.

MEC Duma said the Province was going to use the conference to mobilise funding for province’s SMMEs and Black Industrialist Programme  and to create strategic partnerships in order to build sustainable start-ups that can hold their own in the global economic arena . "Today, as the world strides forward, as KZN government we are looking for partners who will work with us in order to usher in a new socio-economic development trajectory.

Importantly, being part of this instalment of the World Business Angels Investment Forum 2022, which is taking place in this beautiful city of Antalya, presents endless opportunities for us. The fact that the conference will be held in KwaZulu-Natal in the near future, that will open up opportunities for projects that would have ordinarily struggled to get finance. We all know that one of the biggest barriers to entry is finance  for many of our SMMEs and start-ups in general. By bringing these angel investors to KwaZulu-Natal, will definitely change that.” said MEC Duma
