OPERATION KHUMBUL'EKHAYA

Christmas came early for the elderly as the MEC for Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Mr. Siboniso Duma, hosted the Senior Citizens engagement (Operation Khumbul'ekhaya) Christmas Ceremony in ward 19, Umzumbe Local Municipality,Mpisane Sports Ground,23rd December 2022.

The aim of this programme was to  show appreciation for the elderly people in the neighbourhood. During this event, the MEC also presented Christmas gifts to the elderly .
As During this time of year, the elderly are frequently neglected, and it is essential that those who are able to do so make an effort to involve them in stimulating activities. Over 100 elderly people attended the event, which also featured performances by well-known artists as well as upcoming local artists.
