CRIME FIGHTING IMBIZO AND CONSUMER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Today, 27 May 2023, the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs and leader of government business, Mr. Siboniso Duma led a crime-fighting Imbizo at Imbali township, Msunduzi Local Municipality.
The primary goal of this crime-fighting Imbizo was to present important strategies to reduce the unprecedented rise in trio crime such as murder, rape, and the scourge of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide. The mushrooming of the trade in narcotics and the number of illegal liquor outlets in Imbali.
To evaluate the condition and efficiency of governmental facilities for crime preventions, MEC Duma commenced the day with an oversight visit at Imbali Ward 19 Police Stations.
As part of the crime-fighting interventions, MEC Duma also embarked on a consumer awareness campaign aimed at raising awareness about consumer rights and needs while enforcing business compliance.
