THE LAUNCH OF THE KZN YOUTH MARITIME SKILLS PROGRAMME.

Today the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Siboniso Duma joined the Ethekwini Maritime cluster, Captain Ngcobo and Mdlalose from Transnet to launch the KZN Youth Maritime Skills program.

MEC was afforded the opportunity to engage with young people participating in the program. The MEC in addressing these young people reminded them that, “the journey we are starting here today is one which looks to reshape the skills landscape in the province by channeling young people to persue skills that are industry compatible, the Maritime industry continues to be one with great potential to assist us to make a serious dent to the unemployment challenges we face as a Province.”
