MEC SIBONISO DUMA TODAY UNVELIS MOSES KOTANE INSTITUTE UMFOLOZI DIGITAL CENTRE
The MEC for KwaZulu-Natal Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Mr. Siboniso Duma, in collaboration with the Moses Kotane Institute and uMfolozi Local Municipality today officially launched the uMfolozi Digital Centre at the uMfolozi Municipality Hall.
The initiative forms part of the government’s strategy to ensure digital access to all. Digital Centre’s are providing the key incubation services to entrepreneurs to establish themselves and ICT Infrastructure for digital skills development. The launch marks the official opening of centre and aims to transform the lives of the local community.
The centre is set to offer entrepreneurial training, and innovation support while granting community members access to ICT services. This will be achieved with assistance from trained facilitators employed by Moses Kotane Institute. The centre is composed of a computer lab, which consists of workstations connected to the internet, a rest area for patrons and a helpdesk for patrons to get assistance whenever they encounter difficulties.
