MEC Duma launches the uMgungundlovu District Investment One Stop Shop

 November 2, 2022, the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs and Leader of Government Business launched uMgungundlovu District Investment at the KwaZulu Natal Royal Show Grounds. The primary aim of the one-stop shop is to provide strategic guidance, reduce regulatory inefficiencies, and reduce red tape for all investors looking to invest within the District of Umgungundlovu. This initiative is geared towards providing investors with services to reduce government regulations when establishing a business. It is part of the government’s drive to become investor-friendly by improving the business environment, lowering the cost of doing business, and making the process easier. Some of the participating partners include CIPC for company registrations, SARS for customs, and the Department of Home Affairs for visa applications.
