163 Anniversary of the Durban Chamber of Commerce & Industry
"The 163 anniversary of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides us with an opportunity to renew our vows that Durban will be reborn, rejuvenated, and rises again. Durban is too important a city in Africa and the world to go to ruins under our collective watch. Working together as government, business, labour and civil society, we must ensure that we restore the credibility of our city as a lead investment destination so that we can defeat the scourges of poverty, unemployment, and inequality. We urge you to support the efforts of the provincial government in strengthening good governance, fighting corruption, and repositioning Durban as a city open for business. We remain on course to renew the faith of our citizens and stakeholders in the 6th Administration under the leadership of President Cyril Ramaphosa."MEC Dube-Ncube as she addresses the business sector at the 163 anniversary celebration of the Durban Business Chamber as they welcomed the incoming President of the Durban Chamber, Mr Nigel Ward who is a leader of big business and one of the biggest employers in the Province (Toyota).
