As part of the UGu District OSS/DDM Cabinet Day, MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Rev. Musa Zondi, is in Ward 10, uMthwalume, leading government’s service delivery drive. The day began at Sibanini Community Hall, where the MEC received a War Room report from local leadership, focusing on community priorities and progress.
In a bid to uplift township and rural economies, MEC Zondi also handed over gazebos to informal traders, giving much-needed support to small businesses operating in challenging conditions.
The MEC proceeded to visit key community projects, including the Ntelezi Msani Heritage Site, which safeguards Zulu culture and heritage but faces funding and infrastructure challenges, and the Ayanda Holdings Internet Café, a vital community hub supported by KZN EDTEA, now navigating transport constraints. The programme continues at KwaShibase Sports Field in Ward 3, St Faiths, where MEC Zondi will join Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli for a major community engagement to wrap up the OSS/DDM Cabinet Day.
