YOUTH FARMERS CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP: NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

In celebration of Youth Month, the Department of Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs, led by Sub-Programme Environmental Management, together with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in King Cetshwayo District Municipality, is currently conducting a capacity-building workshop for the youth of Umhlathuze under the theme: Natural Resources Management.

 The workshop aims to raise awareness about natural resource management and how agricultural activities contribute to climate change. The agricultural activities that need to go through the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and more information on EIAs

 Operation Vula application procedures, agroprocessing value-adding, and youth programs were also presented.
