WORLD WETLANDS DAY COMMEMORATION

The Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs in collaboration with its Public Entities, Durban Solid Waste, uMgeni - uThukela, DSW - Water and Sanitation hosted the Annual World Wetlands Day Celebration under the theme “Wetlands and Human Well-being” at uMgababa Thusong Centre.

This celebration commenced with the restoration action of tree planting at uMgababa Primary School.

The objectives of this celebration is to inform the community on wetland restoration, sustainable use of wetlands, raise awareness and build capacity on the importance of wetlands.
