SIXTH KZN LEGISLATURE

Today, 09 April 2024, the KwaZulu-Natal Leader of Government Business and MEC for Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs, Mr. Siboniso Duma actively participated in the sixth session  of the sixth KZN Legislature.

The session focused on debating several bills, such as the KwaZulu-Natal Economic Regulatory Authority Bill (KZN Gaming and Betting Board and KZN Liquor Authority), Tourism and Film Authority (Tourism KZN and KZN Film Commission), Moses Kotane Research Institute Bill, the Growth Fund Agency Bill, and the National Small Enterprise Amendments Bill.

These bills signify the government's efforts to strengthen the economy of KwaZulu-Natal and will also play a crucial role in the merger of some of the entities under the department.
