SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME (SEEP) EDUCATORS' WORKSHOP
The Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs programme 07: Environmental Empowerment Management Services conducted a SEEP Educators' Workshop at Botanic Gardens in Durban.
Due to environmental issues faced such as soil erosion, climate change, air pollution, EDTEA Environmental Empowerment Services unit Initiated a partnership with the Department of Education to address these environmental issues.The Department of Education is the main stakeholder to address such issues, hence SEEP was initiated.
SEEP Workshop's main objectives is to capacitate educators on how to integrate education for sustainable development into formal education structure, to enhance the positive attitude towards sustainable environmental management. Educators were from all Regions of Ethekwini.
