MEC DUMA TALKING ALL THINGS TOURISM AT THE 2023 HOLLYWOOD BETS DURBAN JULY
Leader of Government Business and MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Mr. Siboniso, during an interview session with Supersport at the 2023 Hollywood Bets Durban July.
“The economic benefits of the Durban July to the province are substantial. It benefits the tourism and hospitality industry, transport, creative and fashion industries as well as related value chains.
An estimated 48 000 to 50 000 attendees attend the Durban July, generating a direct spend of R65 million, contributing R130 million to the GDP and creating 1 500 jobs.” said MEC Duma.
