The department in partnership with its entities Tourism KwaZulu-Natal, Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife and iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, launched the winter tourism campaign in Hluhluwe, Hilltop Camp. This campaign seeks to promote KwaZulu-Natal’s finest destinations that can be visited during the winter season; Hluhluwe Hilltop, Didima Resort in the mountains of Ukhahlamba and Midmar Dam are some of the hidden gems to be visited in the province.

Delivering the keynote speech on behalf of the MEC, ADDG Ms. Fikiswa Pupuma said “ we also know safety remains a concern for our visitors, that’s why we continue to work with the SAPS to ensure our tourism destinations are safe”

“It’s safe to say KZN has captured the eye of filmmakers, listing the epic Woman King and Shaka Ilembe both shot in KwaZulu-Natal” said Pupuma.
