KZN EDTEA MEDIA BRIEFING

The MEC for Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs and Leader of Government Business, MEC Siboniso Duma, reflects on issues in the public domain at the EDTEA KZN media briefing held at the Archie Gumede Conference Centre (Department of Public Works, Mayville).

When we assumed office we offered to play a much more assertive and visible role in providing leadership and coordinating priority government programmes championed by the department and our entities.

We remain firm in our position that from top management to the lower level, we want our employees to have the capacity, the right attitude and required ethical standards to serve the people of this province.

Our position has not changed.

Members of the public are drawing inspiration from senior managers and all categories of staff in the department and in our entities especially those who are using their technical qualifications for the benefit of ordinary members of society.
