KWAZULU-NATAL LOCAL GOVERNMENT TOURISM PEER LEARNING NETWORK SESSION

The Department of Tourism in collaboration with KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) and South African Local Government Association (SALGA) is hosting the Local Government Tourism peer learning network as part of Local Government support. The engagement is for two days ,08 – 09 November 2023, at uVongo Town Hall, uGu District Municipality.

The aim of the sessions is to strengthen and enhance technical capacity for knowledge, expertise and skills of Local Government tourism/ Local economic development (LED) practitioners, identify and propose areas of government intervention, norms and standards and guidelines. The targeted participants are officials (Local Economic Development (LED), Tourism and Development planning practitioners and Councillors responsible for LED in the District, Metro and Local municipalities in the entire province.
