The iNgakithi Tourism Excursions are a series of educational and experiential trips organised by the Tourism Education and Awareness Unit to provide tourism learners with first-hand experience of the diverse tourism offerings in KwaZulu-Natal. The excursions are part of the iNgakithi Tourism Schools Competition, which aims to engage and empower youth to pursue careers in the tourism industry.

The excursions are open to winners of the iNgakithi Tourism Schools Competition, including learners and educators who have showcased their knowledge, creativity, and passion for tourism through the Competition. These lucky participants are granted the opportunity to explore various tourism attractions across the province.
