HANDING OVER OF WORKING EQUIPMENT TO INFORMAL TRADERS, COOPERATIVES AND SMME'S AT MANDENI LOCAL MUNICIPALITY
Today, July 6, 2023, at Sibusisiwe Community Hall, the Department of Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs; Programme 02 under Regional and Local Economic Development, in partnership with Mandeni Local Municipality, is currently handing over working equipment to Informal Traders, cooperatives, and SMME's.
The aim of this partnership is to support the implementation of the Municipal Employment Initiative (MEI), whereby the municipality will identify, evaluate, and support micro and small enterprises from the formal and informal sectors that will stimulate the local economy in townships and rural areas among vulnerable groups.
