ETHEKWINI METRO OPERATION SUKUMA SAKHE/DDM CABINET DAY

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government as led by Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube was deployed in various parts of EThekwini Metro Municipality as part of the Operation Sukuma Sakhe/DDM Cabinet Day.

Operation Sukuma Sakhe/ District Development Model is a tool that aims at fast tracking services by ensuring that government engages members of the community to learn of the challenges faced and bringing services closer to the people.

MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Mr. Siboniso Duma was deployed in Inchanga, Ward 04. The delegation compromising of HOD Champion Ms. Carol Coetzee, Mr. James Nxumalo, MPL, Cllr Madlala of EThekwini Metro and other dignitaries kickstarted the day with a war room briefing at 1000 Hills Community Based Centre and an oversight visit.

The first site was preceded by a visit to the Sikhelekehleni Diptank in Inchanga. The day’s activities were concluded by a community engagement at Nondlini Community.
