EDTEA HOSTED AN INFORMATIVE SESSION ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND COMPLIANCE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs, through its Woman and People with Disability Economic Empowerment Directorate, hosted today, July 06, 2023, a successful  Entrepreneurship and Compliance Workshop at Folweni Apostolic Faith Mission Victory Centre, eThekwini Metro.

The workshop was positively attended by People with Disability owning small business enterprises who are ambitious for growth and development and those who aspire to be entrepreneurs. This workshop was aimed at providing  small business owners with information about business development, supportive initiatives and available entrepreneurial opportunities.

Stakeholders that attended and presented during the workshop include SEDA, Ithala,  KZN Film Commission, KZN Treasury, EThekwini Metro (Waste Management), Department of Social Development, SASSA and NGOs.

The presentations focused on programs available to assist small businesses, emphasizing on available opportunities for People with Disability.
