The objective was to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our beaches clean and protecting marine life. This was a great opportunity for everyone to contribute to a cleaner environment. There was emphasis on working together to ensure our beaches remain a pristine and enjoyable place for everyone.

Amongst the main stakeholders were the Department of Water and Sanitation South Africa , the National Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment, EThekwini Municipality, KZN Wildlife, GreenCorridor, Working on Fire, Tri-Ecomvelo, and the LitterBoom project.
