BIODIVERSITY ECONOMY CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP
As part of Women's Month Celebration, the Department of Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs is currently conducting a Biodiversity Economy Capacity Building Workshop for women under the theme "accelerating socio-economic opportunities for women's empowerment" in KwaNgwetshana Community Hall in Nquthu Local Municipality under uMzinyathi District Municipality.
This workshop seeks to capacitate women in various environmental programmes that are linked to the sustainable utilisation of natural resources. The National Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment is among the key stakeholders that are present to showcase bioprospecting in practise and wildlife economy initiatives that empower communities nationally.
