The KwaZulu Natal Legislature on 15 January 2020 led a very successful Schools Functionality Programme across the Province in all District Municipalities as part #Back2School2020 campaign. The Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs under the leadership of MEC Dube-Ncube and the MEC champion for uThukela District Municipality was assigned to visit uThukela District Municipality to oversee that the process if teaching and learning start well. The Departments was accompanied by various departments and the Members of Provincial Legislature led by Mr Nhlakanipho Ntombela. The delegation visited two schools under Nkosi langalibalele Local Municipality 1st stop was at Mthaniya Combined School in Weenen which is faced with plethora of challenges and that needs decisive government intervention. The 2nd school was at Tatazela high School in Loskop, a school with a great potential and which embraced a number of innovative initiatives including technology and 4IR and become the community shining beacon in several facets.
