The MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs: Ms Nomusa Dube-Ncube and His worship Mayor of eThekwini Metro; Cllr Mxolisi Kaunda on the 16th of November 2019 officially opened the Durban Beachfront Promenade. The MEC responsible for Tourism in the Province she assured the people of eThekwini that with this the new promenade the tourist will have a memorable experience along the Durban Beachfront. “During the World Tourism Day – an event which we hosted on behalf of the South African government, we announced publicly that plans were underway to open the Durban’s Beachfront Promenade. Today therefore marks an important milestone in our quest to become the top tourist destination. The realization of this mammoth project gives this province a strategic asset and challenges us all to ensure that as a nation we derive maximum benefit from it” said the MEC Dube-Ncube during the Opening of the Durban’s Beachfront Promenade.
